 The Texas A&M volleyball team, which advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and ended the season on a 6-1 run, is ranked No. 21 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 final poll.

Texas A&M outside hitter Sarah Ammerman was named to the seven-member NCAA Omaha Regional All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of the regional Saturday night at the Qwest Center.

A&M's Season Ends at Sweet Sixteen

Texas A&M's run in the NCAA Tournament came to an end at the Sweet Sixteen as the Aggies fell to No. 2 Texas, 25-18, 25-18, 25-21 in the semifinals of the Omaha Regional at the Qwest Center. A complete recap will be posted soon.

Texas A&M senior outside hitter Sarah Ammerman has been named to the 2009 Division I AVCA All-Central Region first team and senior right side hitter Jennifer Banse received honorable mention, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced.

Volleyball Takes on Rival Texas in NCAA Sweet Sixteen

Texas A&M (20-10) returns to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2003 and faces rival and No. 2 seed Texas (26-1) in the semifinals of the, four-team, all-Big 12 NCAA Omaha Regional on Friday. First serve is slated for 4:30 p.m. at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb.

Aggies are Sweet 16 Bound

Texas A&M earned a berth into the NCAA Sweet 16 with a stunning 18-25, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23, 15-10 victory over No. 15 seed LSU tonight at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The Aggies advance to take on rival Texas on Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb., in the NCAA Omaha Regional semifinal.
