Aggies Named to UIL All-Century Team

The Texas A&M Aggies are well represented on the UIL All-Century Volleyball Teams, announced today by the University Interscholastic League. Former Aggie volleyball players Courtney McCrocklin (Wimberly H.S.) and Stacy Sykora (Burleson H.S.) were both named to the 10-member first team. McCrocklin played for the Texas A&M in 2004 and 2005 before retiring due to an injury. Sykora was a two-time All-American outside hitter for the Aggies and has played in three Olympics since completing her A&M career in 1998. Two-time AVCA All-American middle blocker Melissa Munsch (Columbus H.S.), who played for the Aggies from 2001-04, and current senior outside hitter and four-year starter Mary Batis (San Antonio Clark H.S.) were named to the 10-member second team. The University Interscholastic League, as part of its Centennial Celebration, allowed fans to vote for their favorite volleyball players in Texas high school history. More than 14,000 votes were cast from late August until the end of October. The following is the complete UIL All-Century Volleyball Teams as selected by the fans: Second Team
