No. 16 Aggies Close Fall Season at Onion Creek

AUSTIN - The No. 16-ranked Texas A&M women's golf team closes its fall schedule at the Challenge at Onion Creek Monday and Tuesday at the Onion Creek Country Club's North Course.

Joining A&M in the 21-team field are Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Washington State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Augusta State, Boise State, Kennesaw State, San Francisco, host Texas State and Texas - San Antonio.

The teams will play 36 holes Monday starting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday's final round is set to tee off at 8 a.m. Live scoring is available online at www.GolfStat.com.

Representing A&M will be seniors Ashley Freeman and Julia Boland, junior Sarah Zwartynski, and freshmen Sarah Beth Davis and Chloe Garner.

The Aggie shave placed in the top four in three of four fall tournaments, including a tie for second at the Alamo Invitational last week in San Antonio.

Ranked No. 31 nationally by Golfweek, Boland leads the Aggies with a 73.25 scoring average. She has placed in the top 11 in three of four starts.

One of the nation's top freshmen, Davis is second at 73.63 and is ranked No. 39. She has posted three top six finishes this fall.
