SAN ANTONIO - Senior Julia Boland and freshman Sarah Beth Davis each fired an even-par 72 Tuesday to lead No. 15-ranked Texas A&M to a runner-up finish at the rain-shortened Alamo Invitational at Briggs Ranch Golf Club.

The tournament was scheduled for three rounds but the first two rounds were cancelled Monday because of rain.

No. 7 Tennessee won the title after posting a one-over 289. A&M and Notre Dame tied for second at 292, followed by Nebraska (302), Mississippi (303), Wisconsin (303), Baylor (304), Texas-San Antonio (304), Oklahoma (304), Middle Tennessee State (317), Texas State (318) and SMU (319).

Notre Dame's Annie Brophy and Tennessee's Nathalie Mansson shared individual honors at two-under 70. Boland and Davis tied for fourth.

A&M freshman Chloe Garner tied for 10th (73), junior Sarah Zwartynski tied for 19th (75) and senior Ashley Freeman tied for 35th (78).

"We played pretty well today," A&M Coach Trelle McCombs said. "We started a little slow but picked it up in the middle of the round. We just didn't quite finish it off the way we usually do. I'm proud of them because it's difficult knowing you only have one round to get it done, but that's golf."

The Aggies close their fall schedule at The Challenge at Onion Creek staring on Monday in Austin.
