COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The 6th-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team returns to the ring this Saturday when the Aggies host No. 7 Baylor at the Brazos County Expo Complex. The competition begins at 10 a.m. and admission is free.

A&M (1-2) is back in action at home after a tough road swing which saw the Aggies drop shows at Auburn and Georgia by a combined two points. Texas A&M has just two home shows remaining in the fall season, and will be back in action in Aggieland for the first time since defeating Fresno State in its season opener back on Oct. 11.

The Bears, 2-2 on the young season, have also lost two straight and are in the midst of a five-show road swing. Baylor dropped shows at Oklahoma State and Kansas State two weeks ago after beginning the year with wins over Miami (Ohio) and TCU.

The A&M hunter seat riders, who are looking to rebound after a pair of setbacks on the road two weeks ago, are unbeaten at home this fall and have won six of their seven competitions all-time at the Expo Complex.

The western riders enter the weekend on a 13-show win streak dating back to a loss at Baylor last fall. The Aggies are one of two undefeated western squads in the country in 2009.

A&M holds a 5-3 lead in the all-time series with Baylor, but the Bears have won the last three meetings. Last season, Baylor handed the Aggies their first and, to this date only, loss at the Expo Complex, 13-10 on Feb. 7.

Several activities are planned for fans attending the competition, including a Halloween costume contest, pony pictures for the kids and a contest judging pumpkins carved by members of the Aggie equestrian team. In addition, 12th Man Team Rewards officials will be scanning at the show. The 3,000-seat Expo Complex is located at 5827 Leonard Road in Bryan.
