Aggie Women Ranked School-Record No. 7 Nationally In Coaches Poll

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M women's basketball team continues to rewrite history by earning a school-record No. 7 national ranking in the latest USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday. It topped a previous program-best of No. 8 in both the final Associate Press and USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches Top 25 Polls in March and April of 2008. A&M has now been ranked in the Coaches Poll for 42 consecutive weeks and its sixth all-time week in the top 10. The Aggies are one of an unprecedented three Big 12 Conference schools to be ranked among the top 10 in the country and one of six in the top 25 in this week's poll. The Aggies are currently 2-0 on the season after victories over Mercer, 73-45, in their season opener on Nov. 14 and No. 23 Pittsburgh, 56-50, in the State Farm Tip-Off Classic on Nov. 16.
