Aggies To Appear On Television Eight Times In 2008-09

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The preseason nationally-ranked Texas A&M women's basketball team will appear on television a school-record eight times during regular-season action in 2008-09.

After a record-setting NCAA Elite Eight run a year ago, the Aggies were rewarded with two national television dates on ESPN2 including a Big Monday showdown with Big 12 Conference rival Oklahoma on Feb. 23 at Reed Arena in College Station and their first-ever appearance in the State Farm Women's Tip-Off Classic against Pittsburgh on Nov. 16 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La.

As part of the Big 12 women's basketball package, A&M will play in four nationally-televised contests on Fox Sports Net including a Jan. 18 matchup at Oklahoma, a Feb. 21 State Farm Lone Star Showdown with Texas, a March 1 road game at Kansas State and a March 5 tilt with Oklahoma State on Senior Day.

Additionally, ESPNU will broadcast an in-state battle between the Aggies and TCU in College Station on Dec. 21, while the Mizzou Sports Network will pick-up a league contest between A&M and Missouri on Jan. 10 in Columbia.

Saturday, Jan. 10 - Texas A&M at Missouri (Mizzou Sports Network) at 5 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 18 - Texas A&M at Oklahoma (FSN) at 3 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 21 - Texas at Texas A&M (FSN) at 11 a.m.
Monday, Feb. 23 - Oklahoma at Texas A&M (ESPN2) at 6:30 p.m.
Monday, March 1 - Texas A&M at Kansas State (FSN) at Noon
Thursday, March 5 - Oklahoma State at Texas A&M (FSN) at 7 p.m.
