"Sydney had the unfortunate injury to her ACL this summer while playing pick-up basketball. If there was one player we couldn't afford to lose, it was Sydney Colson. She was the heir apparent all last year to A'Quonesia Franklin. She has tremendous vision and can create space. She has a chance to be one of the best point guards to ever play at Texas A&M. When she comes back healthy, Sydney will make our team run more than it has ever run before. That is the style we brought her in for. She just accelerates our team and enjoys the pass as much as the shot. She exudes confidence and brings so much to our team with her passion and enthusiasm." - Texas A&M Head Coach Gary Blair
