Dean Falls In Consolation Finals at UT Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas - Texas A&M junior Patrick Dean (Dallas, Texas) fell in the consolation finals of the singles B draw at the University of Texas Invitational held Sunday afternoon at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.

Dean, who posted a career-best 4-2 fall record at the three-day tournament, dropped a 1-6, 6-3, 1-0, decision to Mateus Campos of Laredo Community College in the finals after advancing with a super-tiebreaker win over A&M freshman teammate Sameer Patwardahn (Mumbai, India), 6-4, 3-6, 1-0, in the consolation semifinals.

The Aggies conclude fall tournament play while several members of the team will play individually on the USTA Futures Pro Circuit on Nov. 1-8 in Birmingham, Ala., and junior All-American Austin Krajicek (Brandon, Fla.) and junior Jeff Dadamo (Tampa, Fla.) head to the prestigious ITA National Indoor Championships as the Wilson/ITA Texas Regional doubles champions for competition to be held on Nov. 5-8 at Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
