IRVING, Texas --- Four Texas A&M football players received All-Big 12 mention in a vote of the league's head coaches, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Record-setting punter Justin Brantly (Sealy, Texas/Sealy HS) received first-team All-Big 12 recognition after leading the conference in punting with a career-high average of 45.7, which ranks as the No. 3 single season effort in school history. Brantly put 18 of his punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line and blasted an impressive 19 punts of 50 yards or longer.

Brantly is the only punter in school history to average more than 43 yards in four consecutive seasons and owns three of the top five season averages in school history. He finished his career with a 44.4 punt average and 58 career punts inside the 20-yard line, which both rank No. 2 in school history behind current NFL All Pro Shane Lecher.
Senior Jorvorskie Lane (Lufkin, Texas/Lufkin HS) earned second-team honors at fullback after shifting to the position for his final A&M season. Lane served as the lead blocker for leading ground-gainers Mike Goodson and Cyrus Gray, and contributed five touchdowns as a short yardage back.

Lane finished his career as the top non-placekicker scorer in school history with 302 career points. He also set school standards with 50 total touchdowns and 49 rushing touchdowns. In 2005, Lane scored 19 touchdowns which matched Joel Hunt's 78-year old record for season touchdowns at A&M.

Receiving honorable mention All-Big 12 honors were true freshmen Jeff Fuller (McKinney, Texas / Boyd HS) and Trent Hunter (Katy, Texas / Katy HS), who were both members of head coach Mike Sherman's first recruiting class at Texas A&M.

Fuller finished his first season with 50 catches for 630 yards and set a school record for season receiving touchdowns with nine scores. Fuller's catches and receiving yards stand No. 2 in A&M's freshman record book behind fellow freshman Ryan Tannehill's 2008 efforts of 55 catches and 844 yards. Fuller and Tannehill were the first A&M tandem to both have 50 or more catches in a season.

Hunter earned a spot in the Aggies` starting lineup early in the 2008 season and finished the season as the team's No. 3 tackler with 65 stops. Hunter also posted a team-best three interceptions. Hunter earned Big 12 Player of the Week following his first career start after making 17 tackles against Army. He also played a big role in A&M's Big 12 victory over Colorado with a pair of interceptions.
