Maroon and White Basketball Games Set for Saturday

COLLEGE STATION - The Texas A&M men's and women's basketball teams will play their Maroon and White games Saturday morning at Reed Arena. The women's game will be at 9 a.m. followed by the men's game at 11 a.m. Admission is free. The A&M football team plays Iowa State at 2:30 p.m. at Kyle Field. Football game day parking guidelines are in effect. "We want to encourage everyone to come out and see our young men play," men's coach Mark Turgeon said. "They have been working extremely hard and are excited about getting the season started." "We want people to have something to do before Saturday's football game, so we hope they come out early to see us," women's coach Gary Blair said. "We will be available on the concourse for pictures and autographs immediately after the scrimmage. This will not only be an opportunity for our fans to get a little bit of a sneak preview of our team, but their last chance to see us until we play our first exhibition game." The men Play A&M-Commerce in a exhibition on Nov. 5 at Reed Arena. The women play an exhibition against Oklahoma City University on Nov. 12 at Reed.
