Fabrice Lapierre wins Madrid long jump with 28-foot effort

Texas A&M graduate Fabrices Lapierre defeated a pair of Olympic medalist in winning the long jump at the Madrid Grand Prix in Spain on Saturday, July 4. Lapierre produced the longest jump ever by an Australian.

Jessica Beard advances to 400 final, Muna Lee runner-up in 100 final

Jessica Beard qualified for the USA Championship final in the 400. Muna Lee finished second in the 100 final and incoming frosh Wayne Davis won the US Junior title in the 110 hurdles.

Sharif eighth in triple jump final at USA Championships

Zuheir Sharif finished eighth in the triple jump final during the USA Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Jessica Beard and Muna Lee both reach the semifinals of the 400 and 100.

Texas A&M athletes compete at the USA Senior and Junior Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon this weekend. The first final involving an Aggie is the triple jump with Zuheir Sharif.

40th Anniversary of Curtis Mills world record NCAA victory

40 years ago, on June 21, 1969, Texas A&M sophomore Curtis Mills won the 440 yard NCAA title with a world record time of 44.7 seconds and defeated 1968 Olympic medalists Lee Evans and Larry James in the process.

30 USTFCCCA All-America honors earned by 21 Aggie athletes

Texas A&M athletes were awarded a total of 30 All-America honors by USTFCCCA based on performances during the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas that led to a pair of national team titles for the Aggies.
