 Texas A&M men closed out the NCAA Indoor Championships with a 3:04.40 victory in the 4 x 400 and tied for second in team scoring while the Aggie women finished fifth.

Fabrice Lapierre wins World Indoor long jump gold

 Texas A&M grad Fabrice Lapierre became the first Australian to win long jump gold at a World Indoor Championship when his leap of 26 feet, 9 3/4 inches achieved the feat in Doha, Qatar on Saturday.

Curtis Mitchell wins NCAA 200, breaks 22-year-old A&M record

 Curtis Mitchell blistered the field with a 20.38 second winning time in the 200 final Friday at the Tyson Center during the first day of the NCAA Indoor Championships.

 Texas A&M grad Fabrice Lapierre set an Australian indoor long jump record as he led qualifying at the World Indoor Championships on Friday with a leap of 26 feet, 10.5 inches.

Aggies bid for more NCAA titles in Fayetteville

Action starts Friday for Texas A&M in their bid to win NCAA Indoor Championships. Last summer Fayetteville was the host location when the Aggies won two NCAA team titles in track and field.

Vashti Thomas improved from 24th to 18th on the national descending order list with a 42-5.25 runner-up effort in the triple jump at the Arkansas Final Qualifier in Fayetteville on Friday.
