COLLEGE STATION, Texas - No. 16 Texas A&M (14-5, 4-1) will travel to Starkville, Miss. to face
off with Mississippi State (8-10, 0-5) at 7 pm (CT) on Thursday. Fans can watch

The match up will be
the second meeting between the two programs, the Aggies were
victorious last season 93-47 behind a dominating performance by Kelsey
Bone (20 points & 13 rebounds). The Aggies held the Bulldogs to 25 percent
shooting in the contest and only 7.1 percent from
deep forcing 18 turnovers leading to 28 A&M points.
Texas A&M is
coming off an impressive 64-46 road victory at then No. 12 Georgia, the Aggies
led by as much as 27 midway through the second half. Freshman Courtney Walker
led the game in scoring with 12 points and a game high four steals. Junior
Kelsey Bone just missed a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds,
freshman Courtney Williams was the only other player in double figures with 10
points. The Aggies prevented anyone from Georgia from scoring in double-figures
and held Georgia to a season-low 16 first half points.
Thursday will be a
reunion of sorts, Mississippi State Head Coach Vic Schaefer spent his previous
nine seasons at Texas A&M as Associate Head Coach. Assistant Coach Johnnie
Harris was on the Aggie coaching staff for the previous five seasons; additionally Mary Ann Baker (2008-2011) and A'Quonesia Franklin (2005-2008)
played for Blair at Texas A&M.
Senior point guard Adrienne Pratcher is leading the NCAA in
assists-to-turnover ratio according to the latest NCAA stats release on Jan.
21. The Aggies lead the SEC in field goal percentage, three-point field goal
percentage and assists per game. Individually, Bone leads the SEC in rebounding
and field goal percentage and places second in scoring.
