COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Tickets are now on sale for another
exciting season of Texas A&M Aggie tennis at the George P. Mitchell Tennis
Center, where both the men's team and the women's teams will take on many of
the top teams in the nation during their inaugural season as members of the
powerful Southeastern Conference.
Season and individual match tickets can be purchased online
anytime at 12thManFoundation.com or during business hours at the Athletic
Ticket Office located in The Zone at Kyle Field or by calling the ticket office
at 1-888-99-AGGIE or 979-845-2311. Tickets also will be available for purchase
on game days at the Mitchell Tennis Center beginning one hour before match
time.
A season pass for covered courtside seating in the Phil and
Dee Springer Family Stadium Club is only $125, and it is good for all men's AND
women's regular season home matches. Stadium Club seating is not sold on an
individual match basis and is available only to those who purchase the season
ticket
Individual match prices for general admission are $7 for
adults and $4 for youth (high school and under) and for A&M students
without an all-sport ticket option.
Children under 2 years old are admitted free in general
admission. In addition, Junior Aggie Club members receive free general
admission to all regular season home matches by showing their membership card
at the main entrance.
Tickets for groups of 20 or more are only $3 per person and
can be purchased in advance online at 12thManFoundation.com or by contacting
the ticket office at 1-888-99-AGGIE.
A contest against defending NCAA champion and preseason No.
1 Florida on March 3 highlights the women's 10-match home slate. All 10 of the
women's home matches are against opponents listed in the ITA preseason rankings,
including six Top 25 showdowns. The Aggie women, under the direction of
second-year head coach Howard Joffe, enter the spring season No. 14, their
highest preseason ranking in program history, and open the 2013 campaign Jan.
26-27 as they play host to No. 53 North Texas in the first round of the ITA Kick-Off
Weekend at the Mitchell Tennis Center. No. 41 Minnesota and No. 29 Arizona also
will be competing in the four-team tournament at Texas A&M to determine who
advances to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship in Charlottesville, Va.
In other most notable home matches, the Aggie women take on
former Big 12 rival and 15th-ranked Baylor on Feb. 27 before hosting
No. 31 South Carolina on March 1 in the Aggies' first-ever SEC match. A&M
concludes the regular season home schedule against 10th-ranked Alabama
on April 7.
The 26th-ranked Aggie men's team boasts an
11-match home slate also loaded with elite competition, including a meeting
with top-ranked and 2012 NCAA runner-up Virginia on March 13 at the Mitchell
Tennis Center. Overall, 10 of the men's matches are against opponents listed in
the preseason rankings, with eight matches against Top 25-ranked teams, including
No. 4 Ohio State in the home opener on Feb. 10. The Aggies, under the direction
of seventh-year head coach Steve Denton, begin their six-match SEC home
schedule against No. 37 Vanderbilt on March 8 and close out the regular season
with No. 11 Mississippi State and No. 13 Ole Miss on April 12 and 14,
respectively.
With the help of the 12th Man, both the A&M
men's and women's teams have consistently been ranked among the national attendance
leaders every year since the ITA began tracking home attendance.
