Kristi Mejias joined the Texas A&M Athletic Department in July 2010. She currently serves as the Tutor
Coordinator and Scholastic Supervisor to the women's tennis and men's swimming
and diving teams for the Center for Student-Athlete Services. Her duties include staffing and facilitating the tutor program for the learning center as well as advising current student-athletes.
Prior
to her position at Texas A&M, Kristi worked as the recruiting graduate
assistant for the University of Georgia football office from May 2008 through
June 2010. In that position, her duties included managing an extensive
recruiting database, coordinating the game day host program, organizing
unofficial and official visits for prospective student athletes and assisting
in the day-to-day operations of the football program. She also worked as a
tutor and mentor for student athletes in UGA's Rankin Smith Academic Center.
Originally from Carrollton, Ga., Mejias
received her master's degree in public administration and policy, specializing
in higher education administration and personnel, from the University of
Georgia's School of Public and International Affairs in May 2010. She graduated
in 2008 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of arts in political
science and a minor in sociology magna cum laude.
