Kristi Mejias joined the Texas A&M Athletic Department in July 2010. She currently serves as the Scholastic Supervisor to the women's tennis, women’s equestrian, and men's swimming and diving teams for the Center for Student-Athlete Services. She also works with all international student-athletes. She previously served at the tutor coordinator before moving to work directly with advising student-athletes.
Prior to her position at Texas A&M, Kristi worked as the recruiting graduate assistant for the University of Georgia football office from May 2008 through June 2010. In that position, her duties included managing an extensive recruiting database, coordinating the game day host program, organizing unofficial and official visits for prospective student athletes and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the football program. She also worked as a tutor and mentor for student athletes in UGA's Rankin Smith Academic Center.
Originally from Carrollton, Ga., Mejias received her master's degree in public administration and policy, specializing in higher education administration and personnel, from the University of Georgia's School of Public and International Affairs in May 2010. She graduated in 2008 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of arts in political science and a minor in sociology magna cum laude. Kristi is a member of the National Association for Athletic Academic Advisors (N4A).
