Emerged as one of the country’s top scorers during his final season in Aggieland, garnering first-team All-SEC honors from the league’s coaches and All-District VII accolades from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association … started 32 games, leading the SEC with an average of 35.6 minutes per contest … paced the team and ranked third in the league by averaging 17.5 points per game … exploded for seven games of 25 or more points, including three games with at least 37 … reached double-figure points in 52 games of 64 career games at A&M … ranked among the SEC leaders in shooting percentage (7th - .426), 3-point shooting percentage (4th - .361) and free throw shooting percentage (3rd - .848) … finished second on the team with 74 assists, while also compiling 96 rebounds for an average of 3.0 per game … led the Aggies in scoring with 15 points (13 in the 2nd half) during the season-opening win over Louisiana Tech (11/9) … scored 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting against Troy (11/12) … sank a deep 3-pointer with just two seconds to play to give the Aggies a 55-54 victory over Washington State (11/20) … poured in 26 points during the win at Houston (12/1), making 10-of-21 shots from the field against the Cougars … notched a career-best four steals to go along with a game-high 17 points during the win over HBU (1/3) … pulled down a career-best eight rebounds in addition to 15 points and two assists in the SEC opening win over Arkansas (1/9) … enjoyed one of the greatest individual performances of all-time by an Aggie with 40 points on 14-of-19 shooting, including six 3-pointers, during the win at Kentucky (1/12) ... became one of only three opponents (joining Chris Jackson of LSU and David Robinson of Navy) to ever reach the 40-point plateau against UK at Rupp Arena and the first Aggie to record a 40-point game since Don Marbury (41 at Baylor, Jan. 5, 1985) … played 43 minutes during the OT victory at Mississippi State (1/30), contributing 11 points … led all scorers with 21 points in the OT loss to Kentucky (2/2), going 7-for-23 from the floor in a career-high 44 minutes … set the Reed Arena scoring record with 37 points during a win over Ole Miss (2/13), going 13-of-20 from the field with a career-high seven 3-pointers … broke his own Reed Arena scoring record with 38 points while playing a school-record 58 minutes during the four-overtime thriller against Tennessee (2/23) … missed the road contest at Arkansas (3/9) with a hand injury … during his final game as an Aggie became the 33rd member of A&M’s 1,000 point club, ending his two-year Aggie career with 1,003 points.

2011-12 (Junior)

2010-11

2009-10 (Sophomore at the University of Washington)
Seven games with double-figure scoring ... led the team in three-point field goal percentage at 38.0% and was second on the squad with 41 makes and 108 attempts ... just 17 turnovers, second-lowest among regulars ... averaged 22.6 minutes and 7 points in three starts ... played a then career-high 28 minutes and equaled a career-high 11 points vs. Montana, only to surpass that the next game at Texas Tech with multiple offensive career highs while making his first career start ... came off the bench to play 27 minutes and score 8 points at ASU ... scored 12 points (11 in the first half) on 3-of-6 from beyond the 3-pt arc at Arizona ... reached 20 points for the first time in his career against Seattle U on Jan. 26 ... 9 points, including career-high 3-of-5 from the free throw line ... had 9 big points including a couple of second half three pointers that helped the Huskies beat Oregon ... scored 10 points in Pac-10 Tournament opener vs. OSU on 4x6 shooting ... averaged 9.3 points and shot 54.5% (6x11) from 3-pt range and 50% (9x18) from the field in two NCAA Tournament games ... sparked UW with 14 points - 11 in the second half - including 4-of-5 three-pointers against Marquette.

Played 20 minutes against WWU, grabbed six rebounds and handed-out three assists ... scored six points in 21 minutes in opener at Portland ... hit first career three pointer against FIU ... made three treys and scored 11 points against #24 Kansas ... registered two steals against Florida ... grabbed four rebounds against Pacific ... played 23 minutes against Texas Southern ... grabbed career-high five rebounds against Portland State ... handed-out three assists with two steals and seven points against Montana ... suffered a high ankle sprain against Morgan State and missed the Washington State, Stanford, Cal and Oregon State contests ... returned to play 13 minutes at Oregon State ... scored 11 points at Arizona, going 4-for-8 from the field and 3-of-6 from the three-point line.

A 2008 graduate of Fort Bend Elkins High School in Missouri City, Texas ... rated as the nation’s #14 shooting guard by ESPN ... listed as number 23 shooting guard and a top-100 overall prospect nationally by Scout.com ... first-team all-state selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches ... led Elkins HS to a 31-4 record and #9 state ranking by the TABC in his only season at the Houston-area school ... Elston Howard Turner, Jr. is the son of Elston Sr. and Louise of Missouri City ... born March 6, 1990, in Sacramento ... ag leadership and development major ... father is an assistant coach and “defensive coordinator” for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns, and spent eight years as a guard in the NBA and played in the CBA and in Europe ... enjoys singing and playing the piano in his spare time.
