Aggies in Second at SW Collegiate Plunge
The Aggies scored 398 points and trail Texas (452 points) and lead SMU (356) and Incarnate Word (292).
"We need to get our hands to the wall first in some of these races," Aggie head coach Jay Holmes said. "Hayden (Jones) did his job with the win in diving, and we need more of that. We have a lot of depth and it shows, but we need to get some more wins rather than second places. But we came up here to race, and I'm happy with the way we got up on the blocks and competed."
Leading the way for A&M was Jones, who posted his third win of the young season with 379.20 points. Earlier this week, Jones was named Southeastern Conference Diver of the Week after sweeping the 1- and 3-meter dives in dual meets against South Carolina and North Carolina in Columbia, S.C.
