The Texas A&M diving pair of seniors Jaele Patrick and Grant Nel swept the final Big 12 Diver of the Week awards for the 2011-2012 season, announced Wednesday.

Patrick, from Lilydale, Victoia, Australia, grabbed the award for the third consecutive time this and fifth time overall this season. Throughout her career, Patrick has earned the accolade a total of nine times.

Patrick is coming off of a 3-meter springboard score of 382.13, which was enough for a first place against the divers of the University of North Texas on Feb. 4 in College Station. She also grabbed a pair of wins against the University of Texas on Feb. 3. Patrick swept the diving events with scores of 345.45 on the one-meter board and 373.73 on the three-meter board.

Nel receives the award for the third time this season, and the fourth time in his career.

The senior from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, grabbed a record-setting win in the 3-meter springboard event against Texas on Feb. 3. His score of 476.48 was enough for a new Texas A&M record on the board.

Both divers will compete in the 2012 Big 12 Championship meet from Feb. 23-25.
