COLLEGE STATION, Texas - No. 16 Texas A&M (15-5, 5-1) welcomes Missouri to Reed Arena Sunday at 2:30 pm (CT) on ESPNU. Sunday's match-up will mark the first between the two schools since each of the former Big 12 schools moved to the Southeastern Conference.
The match-up will be will be the 20th meeting between the two programs, the Aggies lead the all-time series 12-7. Texas A&M was victorious last season in both meetings, the second was a 56-52 final in Columbia with Kelsey Bone pacing the Aggies with 14 points. The maroon and white trailed 50-45 with 4:14 remaining in the game, the Aggies scored the next 11 points taking the lead for good on Tyra White's basket with 51 seconds to play.
Texas A&M returns home following an impressive two game road swing, winning at then No. 12 Georgia 64-46 and defeating former Associate Head Coach Vic Schaefer and the Mississippi State Bulldogs 81-33 in Starkville on Thursday night.
Against the Bulldogs Senior Kristi Bellock started 8-for-8 from the floor on the way to a career high 18 points, she also pulled down six rebounds and swiped two steals. Senior Adrienne Pratcher made a career high three three-pointers en route to 15 points, she also dished out three assists and collected three steals.
Junior All-American Candidate Kelsey Bone fended off constant double and triple teams to score 13 points and dished out five assists, tying for the game high with Freshman Jordan Jones. The Aggies forced 23 Mississippi State turnovers, leading to 32-0 points off turnovers advantage in the Aggies favor.
