Slocum to Join Studio 12 Live Wednesday at 11 a.m.
College Station, Texas - Studio 12 Live, a weekly talk show about all things related to Texas A&M Athletics, will host former Texas A&M head football coach R.C. Slocum in-studio for a special free, football-only edition of the show.
As the winningest head coach in Texas A&M football history, Slocum finished his career in Aggieland with an overall record of 123-47-2. Slocum stocked the trophy case with six championships which included three consecutive Southwest Conference crowns (1991-92-93), two Big 12 South Championships (1997-98), as well as hoisting the 1998 Big 12 Championship banner by defeating the nation's top-ranked team, Kansas State, in double overtime. Slocum has several ties to the current Texas A&M coach staff, hiring current head coach Kevin Sumlin in 2001 as offensive coordinator/assistant head coach and coaching current defensive line coach Terry Price from 1986-1989.
Slocum will join hosts Matt Simon and Will Johnson to preview the upcoming historic season-opener against Florida as well as discuss all things related to Aggie Football.
In addition to Slocum, Studio 12 Live will also feature a taped interview with co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach Marcel Yates, and Assistant AD for Events & External Services Steve Miller will join the show to close out the hour to talk about important changes to game day at Kyle Field for the 2012 season.
