2011 (FRESHMAN): Made an impression his first season in Aggieland, earning Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball and second-team Freshman All-America accolades from Baseball America and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association... selected All-Big 12 First Team in addition to Big 12 All-Freshman Team... twice selected as Big 12 Newcomer of the Week... played in all 69 of the Aggies’s games, starting all but one... batted .332 (89-for-268) with 45 runs, five doubles, three triples and 36 RBI... led the team with 19 sacrifice bunts and 31 stolen bases... ranked ninth nationally and eighth in A&M single season history for his stolen base total... enjoyed 27 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games... batted .405 (34-for-84) with runners in scoring position... committed only two errors in 161 chances for a .988 fielding percentage... hit .380 (41-for-108) during Big 12 play... enjoyed his first multi-hit game and stolen base with a 3-for-4 performance against Le Moyne (2/19)... set a season-best with four hits in a win vs. Kansas (3/26) with a 4-for-5 two-run, two-RBI effort... posted his first of two multi-steal games with two swipes in a victory over No. 15 Oklahoma State (4/24)... filled up the box score with a 4-for-5 day at the plate that featured a career-high four runs and four RBI against Dallas Baptist (5/7)... enjoyed a season-best 10-game hit streak from May 5 through May 20... broke a scoreless tie with a two-out RBI single to plate the eventual game-winning during the eighth inning of the championship game of the NCAA College Station Regional against Arizona (6/7)... named to the NCAA College Station Regional’s All-Tournament Team... played for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League... appeared in 23 games, batting .250 (15-for-60) with seven runs, two RBI and six stolen bases.

AT BRYAN HIGH SCHOOL: A local product who was a four-year letterwinner for coach David Powers at Bryan High School... helped take BHS to the playoffs each year of his prep career... earned second-team All-State honors in 2009 from the Texas Sports Writers Association after hitting .471 with seven doubles, three triples, five home runs, 25 RBI and 28 stolen bases... also compiled a 3.13 ERA in 13 innings of work on the mound, striking out 26... additionally was a four-year letterwinner in football as a wide receiver and punter... played summer ball with the Midland Redskins and the Brazos Valley Renegades, along the way winning an AAU National Championship... following his prep career was selected in the 45th round by the Oakland Athletics during the 2010 MLB amateur draft.
