Played for Emrick Jagneaux at Deer Park High School...earned Team Texas, first team All-State shortstop and District MVP honors...logged the most homeruns and RBI in the 2012 season...recorded a batting average of .315 and one homerun his freshman year and an average of .585, nine homeruns, 52 RBI and a .985 fielding percentage...registered two homeruns in one inning against Rayburn...team advanced to the second round of playoffs his freshman, sophomore and senior year and the third round his junior year...also played point guard for his high school basketball team and lettered once...played summer baseball for the Houston Heat.
