COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Registration continues for the 2012 Texas A&M Volleyball Camps, and persons interested in attending are encouraged to sign up soon as space is limited.
Camp dates and descriptions are as follows:
July 5-7, Position
Camp I (entering grades 6-12)
July 9-11, Position Camp II (entering grades 7-12)
Position camp is intended for players who want to improve in key areas that are specific to their game. Campers will spend time in position-specific team training and competition sessions. Individual techniques and game tactics will be covered in a competitive environment. The camp will conclude with a tournament.
July 13-15, Advanced
Camp (entering grades 9-12)
Advanced camp is intended for experienced players with a strong understanding of the game. Players of this caliber will usually have at least one year of training in a specific position. The emphasis will be to refine individual techniques and tactics while training in a competitive team environment. The camp will conclude with a tournament.
July 17-20, Team Camp
(players grades 9-12)
Team Camp is designed for high school and club teams. It will give your team the opportunity to train and sharpen skills along side teammates before going into the season. You will learn the skills, techniques and drills used by the Texas A&M Volleyball Program. Our coaches work with your coaching staff and team to help optimize your team's performance and get you off to a great start for the new season. We will customize your sessions to your team's needs and cover individual skills and team play. Teams will have sessions for training and scrimmage.
All-Skills Camp (entering grades 5-12)
This camp is designed for beginners, those who haven't yet decided on a position, and young intermediates wanting to improve their all-around game. We will work on all skills and team play and conclude with a tournament.
Camps are available for day-only or overnight campers and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Meals will be provided. Campers also will be given a camp T-shirt and Texas A&M volleyball.
