Aggies Finish 14th at U.S. Collegiate Championship

APLHARETTA, Ga. - Texas A&M sophomore golfer Ty Dunlap shot a one-under par 71 Sunday during final round of the U.S. Collegiate Championship to end the event in a tie for 13th place.

Dunlap's final round at the Golf Club of Georgia's Lakeside Course featured five birdies and just three holes of worse than par as the Westlake, Texas, native finished the weekend with a three-round total of 219.

Fellow sophomore Greg Yates (76-74-73=223) lowered his score for a third straight day to end the event in a tie for 34th place, while junior Johannes Veerman (76-74-77=227), who entered as the field's defending individual champion, finished in a tie for 56th place.

Senior Cameron Peck (77-81-77=235) and freshman Adrià Arnaus (79-79-80=238) rounded out the Texas A&M contingency at the tournament in a tie for 69th and 76th place, respectively.

As a team, the Aggies (303-301-298=902) finished in 14th place with a three-round total of 38-over par 902. Host school Georgia Tech (291-291-292=874) won the event with UCLA, Southern Cal, Virginia and Stanford rounding out the top five.

Texas A&M men's golf is back in action at Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 29-30.
