Men’s Golf Finishes Play at PING-Golfweek Preview

The No. 10 Texas A&M men's golf team wrapped up play at the PING-Golfweek Preview on Tuesday, finishing the tournament in 13th place overall.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. - The No. 10 Texas A&M men's golf team wrapped up play at the PING-Golfweek Preview on Tuesday, finishing the tournament in 13th place overall.

The Aggies (294-280-296=870) ended play 30 strokes over par during three rounds on the Capital City Club's Crabapple Course, which will host the NCAA Championship in the spring. Georgia Tech (287-282-276=845) won the team championship at the event, while San Diego State's Tom Berry (67-69-72=208) was the individual medalist.

Senior Cameron Peck (72-67-74=213) was the highest-finishing Aggie, ending play in a tie for 16th, while sophomore Ty Dunlap (75-68-73=216) carded A&M's lowest round of the day with a three-over par 73 to finish in a tie for 30th.

Junior Johannes Veerman (73-72-74=219) tied for 43rd overall, while Greg Yates (75-75-75=225) and Ben Crancer (74-73-79=226) completed the Aggie contingency at the event in 68th and a tie for 69th, respectively.

Texas A&M will be back in action on Oct. 19-21 when it makes a return trip to Alpharetta, Ga., to take part in the U.S. Collegiate Championship.
