COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Maroon team prevailed in the first game of the Texas A&M softball team's annual Maroon & White Series.

May hit her second home run behind Shannon over left-center to push Maroon out to an 11-0 jump after the top of the fourth. May was 3-for-3 on the game with four RBI and a walk.
White picked up three runs in the bottom of the inning on a long ball over right field by junior Cassie Tysarczyk, but it wasn't enough as Maroon took game one, 11-3.
Sophomore Sara Mireles pitched all five innings for Maroon and threw one strikeout while giving up four walks and three hits. Sophomore Lauren Ainsley tossed five innings for White, fanning one and giving up 13 hits while walking two.
