The first set of SEC weekly honors in cross country included recognition for Aggie runner Weston O'Donnell as Men's Freshman of the Week. O'Donnell finished as the fifth runner for Texas A&M as the Aggies defended their team title at the Baylor Twilight by one point, 37-38, over the host Bears on Friday.

O'Donnell ran the 6,000-meter course in 19:39.2 and bettered the fifth Baylor runner by 0.4 of a second to give A&M the edge in team scoring. The Aggies and Bears were tied at 24 points each after the first four runners from each squad finished. O'Donnell placed 16th overall amid a field of 57 runners and finished 13th among scoring runners.

The SEC Men's Runner of the Week was split between Arkansas' Solomon Haile and Georgia's Brandon Lord while the Women's Runner of the Week honor was awarded to Julie Macedo of Florida. South Carolina's Kayla Lampe earned the Women's Freshman of the Week honor.
