Six Sign with Aggie Soccer
"This is a signing class that we are very proud of. It is a group that strengthens our attack, midfield, back line, and our goalkeeping positions. These six student-athletes are all accomplished players who bring some very special attributes to our Aggie soccer team. Each of them are intelligent students. Each of these players compete in the prestigious Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), a few have competed Internationally, and all of them are very important members of their current teams. We graduated a big senior class, but we will return a great many of the 2012 starters for our 2013 Aggie soccer roster. So, adding these six new players to our team is wonderful. They will improve an already strong roster and can help us compete for championships during their careers." -- Head Coach G GuerrieriMore...

"Ana is a dangerous attacking midfielder who will fit into our style very well at Texas A&M. She is technically gifted in the way she can strike a variety of balls, either to score, set up an opponent, or just keep possession. Ana is creative and well versed in unlocking well organized opposing defenses. And, she’s also an excellent shooter from a variety of places in the attacking half of the field, both on set-piece situations and within the flow of the game. She has been an important player on a very talented and successful So Cal Blues ECNL team under the guidance of some great coaches (Larry Draluck and Greg Baker)." -G Guerrieri
"We love versatile players who can contribute to our team's success in a number of positions and roles. Ashlynn is a great example of that kind of all-around player. Her Slammers ECNL coaches (Ziad and Walid Khoury) have been very creative in the way they've utilized Ashlynn's many positive attributes to win games, no matter where they positioned her. She is a strong, athletic player who routinely competes against America's other most talented players. Her great technical ability will help her to compete for playing time either in our midfield or somewhere on the back line." -G Guerrieri

She is fiercely competitive and driven to win and has been the key attacking force for her highly rated high school and club teams. Coach Kerry Shubert leans on her to score important goals for her TSC Hurricane ECNL team and she delivers from a variety of situations. "Taylor is a very talented, national level goalkeeper who has only just started to touch on how great she can truly be. And that's really exciting. She's quick and powerful and has a very athletic build. And, she's a winner. Taylor is a good shot handler and starts attacks well with her foot and hand distribution skills. She has a similar path and pedigree of current A&M player Jackie Tondl; same high school and same club coach (Marcus Kelcher) in Omaha. And this year, Taylor has been commuting several hours south to play for Coach Huw Williams and the Sporting Blue Valley ECNL team in suburban Kansas City." -G Guerrieri

"Sarah is a very skillful midfielder who makes every one of her teammates a better player. She is a great passer of the ball and clever in the way she breaks the defensive pressure of her opponents. Her club coaches (Jay Fitzgerald and Kenny Medina) have done a wonderful job of developing her over the years and matriculating her up through the different levels of the Dallas Sting Soccer Club, all the way up to the ECNL team which has won several youth national championships. Sarah is not only a skilled and talented player, but she’s also a wonderful teammate, and I know she’s going to fit into our soccer culture very well." -G Guerrieri

"We are very proud to have Grace in our team. As a local student-athlete, we have known her and her family for a very long time and have loved seeing her grow and develop into a talented International soccer player. She is intelligent, tough, and experienced in competing against many of the top players in America with her Challenge 95 ECNL team and versus some of the best young players in Europe while representing the Irish Youth National Team. Her club coach (Pat O'Toole) and the rest of the Challenge Soccer Club staff have done a wonderful job of bringing her along as a player, and I know that she's going to be competing hard for playing time in our defense." -G Guerrieri
