COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Freshman Allie Bailey scored a goal and contributed two assists as the Texas A&M soccer team defeated Sam Houston State, 3-0.

The Aggies are now 2-0 on the spring exhibition season after beating Rice, 1-0, in game one Sunday.

Freshman Katie Perry contributed her second goal of the spring to open the scoring tonight after a fruitless first half, netting a ball passed from freshman Leigh Edwards and Bailey in the 56th minute. Perry scored the lone goal against the Owls less than a week ago.

With 15 minutes left in regulation, junior Beth West found Bailey with a ball for the 2-0 goal. Bailey came through again just five minutes later, assisting a Catalina Clavijo goal as A&M rose to a final 3-0 lead.

The Aggies led the Bearkats statistically throughout the match, leading 21-to-2 in shots, 7-to-2 in shots on frame and forcing three saves by SHSU while making two of their own.

A&M returns to the pitch on Saturday, April 7, for a 1 p.m. game vs. North Texas. The teams will face off in Farmers Branch, Texas at the Ross Stewart Soccer Complex for the Aggies' only road game of the friendly season. Admission is FREE.
