The Aggies have the benefit of practicing in the McFerrin Athletic Center, which allows the team to stay out of the Texas heat during the summer and eliminates lost practices due to weather. The fully air-conditioned facility houses a full football playing field. Its ceiling is nearly 80 feet at its peak above the FieldTurf playing surface, which allows for all kicking and throwing drills. Adjacent to the indoor facility are the Coolidge Grass Practice Fields, which features pair of full-size football fields.

“It’s a huge advantage for us. The McFerrin Athletic Center gives us the ability to practice the same indoors as we would if we were outdoors. It gives us a lot of flexibility with the work we can get done. It just shows the commitment Texas A&M has to the football program. --- Junior Quarterback Jerrod Johnson
