De'Vante Harris is the son of Rod and Tez Harris of Mesquite, Texas … born June 30, 1993 … his father, Rod Harris, ranks as one of Texas A&M's top receivers and return men in school history … Harris caught 87 passes for 1,395 yards from 1985-88, and held the Aggies' school record for career kickoff return yards for more than 20 years until Cyrus Gray recently broke his record … Harris played for the New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles in a three-year NFL career from 1989-91 … the elder Harris was drafted in the fourth round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Houston Oilers.
