COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M sophomore Katerina Ruzickova was named honorable mention All-America by Golfweek after leading the Aggie women's golf team for the second straight season.

The native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, was recognized by the publication for the second consecutive year and was also selected to the 2012 National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-America Second Team.

In 2011, Ruzickova was named to Golfweek's All-Freshman team and was selected honorable mention All-America.

This season Ruzickova became the first Aggie medalist at an NCAA Regional and finished 13th at the NCAA Championship. She also led the team with eight top-15 finishes and with an A&M sophomore record scoring average of 73.48, which ranks fifth overall in school history. At the East Regional, Ruzickova  turned in A&M's lowest-ever NCAA postseason score with a career best, 54-hole total of 3-under 213, which included a career-low and course-record round of 67. She was also named 2012 All-Big 12 and to the Big 12 All-Tournament team.

Duke's Lindy Duncan was named Golfweek's Player of the Year, while Alabama's Mic Potter picked up Golfweek's Coach of the Year award.
