Jacobs to Compete in AQHA Horsemanship Challenge
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M equestrian rising junior Molli Jacobs was chosen by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) riders to compete in the 2013 American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Horsemanship Challenge, Nov. 20-21 in Oklahoma City.
Jacobs (Dover, Ohio) joins eight other NCEA athletes from eight different universities in the competition, as a part of the AQHA Amateur World Show. Riders were picked based on 2012-13 individual statistics in horsemanship.
The Aggie standout received her first NCEA All-America title, being named Honorable Mention All-America after leading the Aggie horsemanship squad with a 7-4-2 record on the season and adding three Most Outstanding Player (MOP) honors to the tally, including two against top-5 conference teams.
The preliminaries take place Wednesday, November 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the finals will take place the evening of November 21.
