DALLAS --- The Texas A&M women's swimming and diving team will take on old Southwest Conference rival SMU in a 5 p.m. dual meet on Friday at Perkins Natatorium on the Mustangs' campus.

The Aggies, who were sixth at the NCAA Championships last year, are 2-0 already this season with wins over South Carolina and North Carolina from two weeks ago. The Aggies were overall winners in nine individual races and both relays in the double-dual against the Gamecocks and Tarheels in Columbia, S.C.

"I was very pleased with the way we opened the season at South Carolina," Aggie head coach Steve Bultman said. "We had some great finishes and some outstanding swims, but there still some things that we came out of the meet knowing we had to correct. We've been training hard and working on those things for the past two weeks, and we'll see if we're moving in the right direction."

Leading the way for the Aggies in the double-dual was junior Breeja Larson, who was named Southeastern Conference Swimmer of the Week for sweeping both breaststroke races and swimming the breaststroke leg on the winning 400-yard medley relay. Also winning two races and a relay was senior Tess Simpson, who swept the backstroke races and swam the opening backstroke leg on the medley relay.

Other overall race winners were Erica Dittmer in the 50 free, Rebecca St. Germain in the 3-meter dive, Sarah Henry in the 200 IM, Caroline McElhany in the 100 butterfly and Cammile Adams in the 200 fly.
