Krajicek to compete in ATP Main Draw
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA - Former Texas A&M tennis standout Austin Krajicek qualified for the ATP Main Draw this week at the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships in Florida.
Krajicek drew the No. 7 seed Kevin Anderson from South Africa who is ranked No. 36 in the world in the ATP rankings. The pair will have first serve today (Tuesday, Feb. 28) at 2 p.m. central.
Krajicek was a four-year (2008-11) letterman and four-year All-American for the Aggie men's tennis team and helped lead the team to back-to-back Top 10 rankings (2010 & 2011) as well as the 2011 Big 12 Tennis Championship title in Waco. As a senior captain, Krajicek helped the Aggies establish a school record for dual match victories with a 29-6 record. Krajicek and his doubles partner, Jeff Dadamo, won the NCAA Doubles National Championship at Stanford last May.
Also in the championship field is No. 1 seed John Isner and No. 4 seed Andy Roddick.
