COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The No. 25 Texas A&M men's golf team is back in action this week when it begins play at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Kahuku, Hawai'i, on Wednesday.

The 37th annual tournament, hosted by the University of Hawai'i, will be held on the Palmer Course of the Turtle Bay Resort, located on the North Shore of Oahu. The par-72, 7,218 yard course was ranked as one of the "Top 100 Public Golf Courses in the US" and Turtle Bay was named one of the "75 Greatest Golf Resorts in the World."

"Hawai'i is always one of our favorite trips," Aggie head coach J.T. Higgins said. "The Palmer Course is a terrific layout and the wind is going to howl this week so it will be a great challenge. We will be facing some outstanding competition including the No. 1 team in the nation (California) which makes this a good measuring stick to see where we are early in the year. We are looking forward to a good week of practice and competition."

The Aggies are back in play after finishing second at the SeaBest Invitational Feb. 4-5, where sophomore Greg Yates also finished second individually.

In addition to Yates, the Aggies are being represented in the Aloha State by seniors Drew Evans and Cameron Peck, junior Johannes Veerman and sophomore Ty Dunlap. Senior Case Cochran is competing as an individual.

The first round of the tournament will begin Wednesday morning. Live scoring for the event can be found at GolfStat.com.
