LAKE TRAVIS, Texas --- Three of Texas A&M's 2012 Olympians will be back in the maroon and white for the first time since the London Games when a small group of Aggies compete in the ASA Open Water Swimming Collegiate National Championships at Mansfield Dam Park at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

2012 Olympians Camille Adams, Lili Ibanez and Erica Dittmer will lead a 10-swimmer team of Aggies into the five-kilometer open water swimming competition. Also competing for the Aggies are Paige Miller, Meredith Oliver, Sammie Bosma, Christine Regone, Kelli Benjamin, Maureen McLaine and Ashley McGregor.

Adams, a junior from Cypress, Texas, was the U.S. Olympic Trials Champion in the 200-meter butterfly and went on to finish fifth in the race at the Olympic Games. Adams' finish marked the highest individual finish ever by a current Texas A&M swimmer at the Olympics. Dittmer, a junior from Houston, and Ibanez, from Celaya, Mexico, represented Mexico at the Olympics.

It will be the Aggies' first appearance at the Open Water Championship since 2010 when a 1-2-3 finish by A&M's Rita Medrano, Liz Nelson and McLaine propelled A&M to the team championship. Medrano covered the 5k course in just over one hour to earn the individual title.
