Played the 2012-13 season at Lee College in Baytown, Texas … helped lead the Rebels to the NJCAA Region 14 Championship and the school’s first-ever appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament … ranked as one of the country’s top five junior college recruits by many recruiting services, averaged 18 points, 5.3 rebounds and two assists per game last season, while shooting just under 40 percent from the field and almost 35 percent from beyond the 3-point arc … during the NJCAA National Tournament, posted a near double-double as the Rebels opened the tournament with a victory over Hagerstown Community College … finished with 25 points and eight rebounds against HCC before notching a game-high 29 points the next day during a second-round loss to Vincennes University … signed with Ole Miss out of high school, playing five games for the Rebels during the 2011-12 campaign before moving on to Lee College … rated as a 3-star prospect by and the No. 67 small forward in the country by after an outstanding prep career at Searcy High School … playing for head coach Jimmy Summers, Jones was a three-time all-conference pick in addition to garnering second-team All-State accolades by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette … as a senior, averaged 23 points, six rebounds and three blocks per game … chose Texas A&M over Arkansas, Georgetown, Marquette, Oregon and San Diego State.
